If you have a passion for teaching, OSU-Cascades' teaching degree, as well as an elementary education option, will prepare you for a rewarding career in the classroom. Our teaching program focuses on instructional methods, cutting-edge strategies, child development, emerging technologies, and embracing the multicultural classroom. With a practicum and student teaching field placement, you’ll enter the classroom and practice what you've learned.
Students pick one of four emphasis areas that are in high demand: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL); Special Education; Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM); or Connecting Schools, Family and Community. Students also have the option of completing a minor in place of a focus area. The focus area will result in 9 credits that can support future endorsement completion and/or job placement.
