Cascades Connect
Cascades Connect is a collection of activities and events — from Sept. 20 to Oct. 12 — to help incoming students connect with the ϳԹվ campus. Some events will entertain you, some will share tips and strategies for success, and others will help you get to know resources on campus.
Schedule and Registration
We are using to facilitate Cascades Connect event. ϳԹվ Beavs Central is our campus-wide virtual platform where you can find events, resources, clubs and more. All new students will be added to this platform on July 1, which can be accessed with your ONID username and password. You can learn more about ϳԹվ Beavs Central on our technical information webpage.
Expected Attendance
Cascades Connect is full of many things to do, people to meet and activities to engage in. Full details of all events will be available around August 1.

Fall Term Move-In
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21 | Residence Hall
Welcome home, ϳԹվ Beavs! No matter where you're from, once you move into the residence hall, you're a resident of Beaver Nation. Specific information will come via your housing portal and email.

Farewell Brunch
Sunday, September 21 | 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m | Obsidian Hall
Families and friends are a huge part of the transition to college. This brunch is provide but our Student Life team to celebrate this first weekend on campus. Once 1:00 p.m. hits, thought, its time for those supporters to say their goodbyes and entrust their students to our amazing team of orientation leaders and professional staff for a fun day of activities. Be sure to register all guests via ϳԹվ Beavs Central.

FORTE25 - OSU-Cascades Academic Transition
Monday, September 22 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (Keynotes & Breakouts) | Various Locations
An opportunity to get a jumpstart on preparing for your academic transition to campus. Students will attend a keynote event to learn how to navigate campus, learn helpful strategies to excel in the classroom and hear real stories directly from students who were once in your position as new students.

Campus Community Resource Fair & Carnival
Monday, September 22 | 2-8 p.m. | Student Success Center
Join us at the SSC where we have snacks, games, and prizes! The is a great way to meet various OSU-Cascades affiliates, learn more about your community, and participate in fun carnival-themed games. We will have tons of giveaways, a special scavenger hunt for prizes, local food carts, and tons of games on the Oval Green and surrounding areas.

Show your pride and spirit as a ϳԹվ Beav and participate in the annual taking of the class photo! Wear your Fall Kick-Off T-shirt to show your off style and a chance to win a prize.

OSU-Cascades Convocation
Tuesday, Sept. 23 | 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Obsidian Hall/Beaver Dam
Convocation means a “coming together.” It is one of two ceremonies that bookend the OSU academic year. Held each fall, Convocation celebrates OSU-Cascades’ newest students, and Commencement, held each spring, celebrates the newest class of graduates.

Sit down for lunch with one of our amazing faulty members on campus. Learn about their own personal journey to our campus, and share about your own aspirations and challenges. This is an opportunity to take advantage of one of the best aspects of OSU-Casades; getting chances to meet your professors as not only educators, but at a personal level.
